Luxury chain Six Senses – which was voted the world’s best hotel group – will open up a new property in London, in a legendary location.
Six Senses London will be established inside what was once the British capital’s first ever department store, Whiteleys.
The department store was re-developed in the 1980s into a commercial space, including a bowling alley. By 2023, it will be a hotel, wellness club and spa, with 110 guest rooms and suites.
There will also be 14 residences for wealthier customers.
One of the biggest draws will be the hotel’s underground spa, which will be ‘reminiscent of an old-fashioned underground station. There will also be a 325-square-meter fitness center, and indoor 20-metre pool
Six Senses, which has a resort hotel in Oman, is committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly luxury.
