Travis Scott will host a special launch event for his fourth studio album, Utopia, with a spectacular show at the Pyramids of Giza on July 28.
Not much is really known —including the release date—about what will be Scott’s first album for five years, but after teaser billboards appeared in LA last month, the rapper posted the news about his Egypt show on Twitter.
“UTOPIA LIVE AT THE PYRAMIDS CAN’T WAITTTT TO SEE YA,” Scott wrote on a post that also featured Live Nation event’s official poster.
Tickets are available on the artist’s webshop, along with CD, album clover and merch Utopia packs. It’s also noted that the album is expected to have “five individual artworks,” although none have been revealed at this stage. Can’t make the show? It’s also going to be live streamed for people who want to view the action from the comfort of their sofa.
It’s certainly a huge event for both Scott and the region. A press release has described the show as an “unforgettable show that will immerse fans in the world of Utopia.” It’s also just one month since a grand jury in Texas decided it would not indict Scott on any criminal charges related to the Astroworld Festival in 2021 that led to the deaths of 10 fans.
