Where will Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Peter Dinklage and Maisie Williams be next?

  • Kit Harrington has said he will be taking a well-deserved break 

Now that Game of Thrones has ended, some of its biggest stars are free to persue new projects. While Kit Harrington has said he will be taking a well deserved break, other members of the cast are already working on other projects for the small and silver screens. 

The final episode of Game of Thrones has seen the end of eight years of endless conflict for the iron throne. While the conclusion has left many of its fans wanting mnore, the actors were able to say goodbye to the characters they brought to life over the eight seasons. Many of them did so on social media.

But as they say, when one heavy door in Winterfell closes, another one opens. What’s in store for the actors? Find out below. 

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark)

Weeks after the end of the series, Sansa will be back on screens as Jean Grey in the movie “X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” which hits screens early June. She will star opposite Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy. She will also appear in Matthew Coppola’s new thriller ‘Broken Soldier’ later this year.

Maisie Williams (Arya Stark)

The other Stark sister will be playing Rahne Sinclaire (also known as Wolfsbane) in new horror movie ‘The New Mutants’ slated to be out in 2020. She has also just been cast in new thrille ‘The Owners’ directed by Julius Berg.

Lena Headley (Cersei Lannister)

After recieving a fitting end, Cersei is going to be joining the cast of ‘The Flood’ as the role of Wendy, a British immigration agent fighting for refugee’s rights. The drama will see her reuinite with Ian Glen (who played Jorah Mormont). The film is set to hit screens in November.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister)

The Danish actor will find himself reuinited with former parter Carice Van Houten (who played the red witch Melisandre) in new thriller ‘Domino’. He’s going to play a Copenhagen policeman in the film expected to hit screens later this year. 

Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister)

The actor will be lending his voice to Mighty Eagle, in the animation ‘The Angry Birds Movie 2’. He will also be playing another animated character, Phil betterman, in ‘The Croods 2’ alongside Ryan Reynolds and Emma Stone. He willa lso appear on the big screen as the star of drama ‘The Dwarf’.

Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen)

Khaleesi is trading in her dragons for some Christmas Elves in Paul Feig’s ‘Last Christmas’. She will be sharing the limelight alongside Emma Thompson and Michelle Yeoh. The film is out in time for the holidays in November. 

Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei)

Everyone’s favourite handmaden will be leaving HBO for Hulu. She will be starring in the television remake of ‘Four Weddings and a funeral’.
