Cowboy Bebop, which aired on TV Tokyo in 1998 and 1999, remains a cult hit and is widely considered one of the greatest anime of all time, as well as one of the best entry points to the medium.

Here’s the Netflix show’s official description:

COWBOYBEB Unit 16866RC4

“They form a scrappy, snarky crew ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals — for the right price. But they can only kick and quip their way out of so many scuffles before their pasts finally catch up with them.”

With only a few months to go, we’ll soon see if this adaptation holds a candle to the original, but these first images are certainly promising.
