Non-Saudi national living in the Kingdom? Good news, you can finally own property.
The law is changed so that expats living in Saudi can now own a single property in the Kingdom.
Non-Saudis, who are legal residents are now allowed to apply for a permit to buy one single property. You can do it on the Absher platform. The news was first reported by the Saudi Gazette.
Want to do it? Here’s the three conditions:
1. Have a valid and unexpired residency ID (Muqeem)
2. Provide all information about the property in question, along with a copy of the title deed, to the platform.
3. You can’t already own property in the Kingdom.
According to Absher, the service can be used through “My Services” on the platform, entering “Services”, then “General Services”. Next, choose “Application for Owning Real Estate for non-Saudis.”
Happy shopping, house hunters!
