The much anticipated sequel to Marvel’s Black Panther (2018) will finally hit cinemas next year. It will hit US cinemas on July 8, 2022, meaning it will hit UAE cinemas the day before—July 7, 2022.
The film, which had to be completely retooled after the unexpected tragic death of titular star Chadwick Boseman, will be a celebration of the film’s supporting cast rather than a recasting Boseman, reports have said.
The film is one of the key films of Marvel’s ‘Phase 4’, as it charts its path following the ending of the Avengers series with Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

The phase thus far has been exemplified by its split between big budget films and big budget series, which have been heading straight to Disney+, and OSN in the region.
The film will be written and directed by Ryan Coogler, who also directed the original Black Panther. Coogler is also developing a Wakanda series, with his production company Proximity, along with his partner Zinzi and Sev Ohanian.
