Simon Pegg is a dance party of one.
As Mission Impossible 7 and 8 continue production in Abu Dhabi, Pegg has been vlogging the experience through his Instagram stories, usually talking directly into the camera about the ups and downs of his mood, or what he’s up to.
After a long day filming the next instalments in the franchise, which he joined with Mission Impossible III in 2006, remaking at one point that he was “in my green room changing in to Benji clothes” on Wednesday, referencing his character’s name, Pegg decided to let loose in a socially distanced manner later that evening.
Pegg had a short dance party in front of a backdrop that was clearly from the W Hotel – Yas Island, wearing what appeared to be an N95 mask and with no one else in the vicinity, after remarking he was on his own.

Pegg also visited Abu Dhabi’s Grand Mosque.
“The Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi. The grand prayer room has the biggest one piece carpet in the world. I do love a carpet fact,” he wrote on Instagram.
Tom Cruise, who is also in town filming the Mission Impossible films as Esquire Middle East confirmed earlier this week, has thus far not been confirmed to be starting or joining any dance parties that we know of. We will of course keep you updated with the latest dance party related information.
Last week, the actor posted in his Instagram stories a photo of himself first at Heathrow Airport, and second of himself on a plane with a sticker overlaid that read “Tom Cruise – Mission Impossible”, followed by a caption that Pegg added stating “Abu Dhabi here we come!!!”
Cruise did visit Dubai last weekend, meeting with his friend Ahmad Al Shaikh, Manging Director of Dubai Media Incorporated, along with friends and family of Al Shaikh.
Shaikh, in an Instagram post, confirmed that Cruise is in the UAE filming.
“I was very happy to welcome and host my good friend Tom Cruise in Dubai this afternoon. The global star is on a working visit to the UAE, as he’s shooting one of his future projects in Abu Dhabi. Our friendship spans for more than 10 years, and I’m honoured that we get to catch up every now and then whenever he is off camera, whether it’s in Dubai or elsewhere,” said Al Shaikh.
