If you didn’t pay attention this weekend, you could be forgiven for missing Disney Plus’ 40+ announcements of new projects, series and movies.
The house of mouse announced that release date of several new Marvel series, as well as Star Wars The Mandalorian’s first spin-off series starring Ahsoka. Oh, and Hayden Christensen is coming back as Darth Vader in the Kenobi series.
But it’s not all about comics and space movies. Disney also unveiled the latest from Pixar, which will be a Toy Story Origin movie centered on Buzz Lightyear.
This will be the origin story of Lightyear, who will now be voiced by Chris Evans (Captain America).
The movie will chronicle how the young test pilot became the Space Ranger. While little is known about the film – it will be released in June 2022 – Disney has said that Toy Story fans should be ready to go to “infinity and beyond”.
