According to reports, Disney+’s next Star Wars Series based around Obi Wan Kenobi will begin filming next month.
The show will follow the character played by Ewan McGregor, in the aftermath of Order 66 (which wiped out the Jedi Order as we know it following the rise of the Emperor – Episode III for those who are counting).
The series will not be open-ended, and is thought to be a single series long. The plot is rumoured to be set on Tatooine, the hometown of the Skywalker family.
“Farmers work hard under the hot environment of two suns, while trying to protect themselves and their loved ones from Tusken Raider. The attack. And on a planet where civilization is almost emptied, there is a hidden Jedi Master and a baby who will shoulder the future of the galaxy.”
Wait a minute. A series set in the Star Wars universe featuring a strong father figure who must protect a small and defenseless child? Now where have I heard that plot before…
