The Prince of Darkness is finally getting his own film

A film about Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon is currently in development.

The ‘Prince of Darkness’ movie was confirmed by Osbourne’s son Jack, in a recent interview with Roling Stone.

The new biopic will reportedly skip Ozzy’s time spent with the legendary metal band Black Sabbath (Osbourne was fired from the band due to drug-related problems).

“From what I understand, it’s about Sharon and I and our relationship. It’s how we met, fell in love, and how we married. She’s my other half. She grew up a lot with me, and I grew up a lot with her. We celebrated 38 years of marriage just recently,” Osbourne told Rolling Stone.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne met in the 1970s, when her father Don Arden managed Black Sabbath. When Ozzy left Black Sabbath, Sharon Osbourne took over as his personal manager and created ‘Ozzfest’ in the 1990s.

Sharon Osbourne has said the film certainly won’t be “squeaky, shiny clean and all that”. She called it a movie for adults, and not in the same category as Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Details of the full biopic – including which actors will play Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are still unknown. However, another documentary on the Prince of Darkness will premiere on September 7 in the US.

The Nine Lives of Ozzy’ will focus on the many stages of Ozzy’s career, including his time spent in prison and fronting Black Sabbath. Rick Rubin, Ice-T, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie are expected to feature.
