David Blaine must be a fan of the Pixar smash hit Up, if his latest stunt is anything to go by.
The American illusionist and endurance artist has said his next stunt will see him attaching himself to multiple helium balloons, to attempt to flaot across the Hudson River from New Jersey to New York.
According to Blaine, “This stunt has been 10 years in the making’.
“Let’s turn worry into wonder and take magic to new heights,” the illusionist said on Twitter, promoting the event.
While previously, Blaine favorited major network television channels for his specials and stunts, this time he has partnered up with YouTube. ‘Acension’ will take place on August 31, on his official YouTube channel.
The show is part of YouTube Originals, which has been quietly investing in celebrity and personality-driven programming, and live events.
David Blaine continues to be a big hit on the streaming platform. His card tricks with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos have more than 3 million views, while his ‘spitting frogs’ performance featuring Stephen Curry and Dave Chappelle has been viewed over a million times.
