Because Thor is no match for the Hulkster, brother

Thor may be the God of Thunder, but apparently he is no match for Hulk Hogan’s 24-inch pythons if actor Chris Hemsworth’s upcoming training regime is to be believed.

The Avengers actor, Hemsworth – who is gearing up to play the iconic professional wrestler Hulk Hogan in a upcoming biopic of his life – admitted in a recent interview with Total Film, that he was going to have to “put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor.”

“This movie is going to be a really fun project. As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical,” said the Aussie actor. “And it’s not just the physical transformation, there is the accent and the attitude. I will also have to do a deep dive into the rabbit hole of the wrestling world, which I’m really looking forward to doing.”

The film (which is still very early on in its development stage) will centre on Hogan’s rise to wrestler and pop-culture success in the 1980s, and will be directed by the Joker‘s Todd Phillips.
