Despite being heavily – heavily – edited in Middle East releases, the Fifty Shades of Grey films have still drawn huge crowds. Throngs of women, as well as a few duty-bound husbands, have sat through both films, which to date has grossed almost a US$1 billion dollars in box office takings.
Fortunately for men everywhere, the Fifty Shades trilogy is almost at a close. The final film – Fifty Shades Freed – has just released its first trailer:
If the video above is anything to go by, the third film will have more drama, innuendo and violence (along with the obligatory badly-written dialogue and an unbelievable plot). But a more pressing worry is this might not be the last Fifty Shades film ever produced…
Series author E.L. James actually wrote a spin-off book after the final book in the Fifty Shades series went to press. It’s written from Christian Grey’s perspective and went on library shelves in 2015.
We’re hoping this too doesn’t get the movie treatment.
