Showboat. Sprint. Win. Repeat.

After having signed off with another three Olympic gold medals, the world’s most famous athlete, Usain Bolt, is all set to hit  the big screen at full-speed with the release the biographic documentary, “I am Bolt”.

The film takes an in-depth look at the life of (arguably) the most charismatic athlete of all time, and gives us the gritty details of life beyond his carefully crafted celeb profile. The documentary details the challenges, mental state and decisions faced by the Jamaican sprinter throughout his storied career.

Told by his parents, friends, coach, agent and fellow competitors, the film humanises the global sports icon, and is backed with plenty of archival footage of a much younger, Bolt before he was winning golds left right and centre.

If seeing Bolt isn’t enough for you, the film features a line up of huge sports stars who give their thoughts on the sprinter.  From the unstoppable tennis star Serena Williams, Brazilian prodigy Neymar and the Saint of the beautiful game himself, Pele there’s more than enough celebs to fangirl at.

Although he rides a fine line between charming and arrogant, it’s hard to hate “The Big Man from Kingston”.

The film releases at cinemas worldwide on November 28.
