Pandering to a aesthetically-stimulated set of creatives, the expansive main hall echoes a minimalistic yet highly functional Miami villa-vibe, in which it would be harder to not get hit with a lightning bolt of inspiration than the reverse. There are both fixed and hot-desk work areas, multiple event spaces, library facilities and meeting rooms aplenty, all of which buzz with a creative hive of intrigued and intriguing minds. What is refreshing is the ethos that runs through the property, whereas traditional member’s clubs tend to be exclusive retreats for networking captains of industry, Nasab is less about success and wealth (or the appearance of it), and more on value allignment.
Any potential member is expected to be in line with Emirati founder Mohammed Zaal’s vision of a highly-curated community of aspirational creatives whose thoughts, conversations and ideas will harmonise with each other. “Nasab represents collaboration, connection and innovative and open-minded thinking. Should you be successful in your quest for membership, the space itself has everything you could need to feed your passion. The three food and beverage outlets include the trendy Nasab and the space’s ‘tuck shop’, from which the vast selection of nutritious offerings. Blurring the boundaries of work and play seamlessly, the venue also presents two outdoor swimming pools, a tennis court, spa facilities and a high altitude studio and paddle tennis court, obviously.
But why is a venue that is so highly geared to creation and productivity designed with so much thought for wellness, recuperation and relaxation? “Wellness plays such a huge part in our ecosystem because it feeds into every aspect of life—work, relationships, diet… We believe holistic wellness drives great work, so we want to provide this to our community.” ‘Office life reimagined’, is a phrase used by Zaal, but for card-carrying Nasab members, its a place that more and more feels like home.
