Series 2 of the Barton Perreira x 007 Collection features four new shades inspired by James Bond’s latest locales

As the seemingly endless wait for No Time to Die, the 25th instalment in the James Bond franchise, continues, Barton Perreira and EON Productions Limited have dropped Series 2 of the Barton Perreira x 007 Collection.

If you’ll remember, we first got a look at the first series, which featured three sunglasses worn by the principal characters in the film, way back in 2019.

The latest series, which will be available for presale on April 21, adds four new colours of the existing polished classic rectangular-style frame ‘Joe’ glasses. The new series is inspired by four locations in the new film, including Matera, Italy; Port Antonio, Jamaica; Hakadal, Norway; and the El Nido bar scene based on Havana, Cuba.

All four pairs are made with Japanese acetate. All in the series will come with a custom branded 007 sunglass case and cleaning cloth. The El Nido and Port Antonio polarized frames are priced at $500 and the Hakadal and Matera sunglasses are $425.

No Time To Die, we will stress once again, has been the highest-profile film to experience delays in the COVID-19 era, dropping off the release schedule in early 2020 when things first started escalating and then continually moving ever since, now settled on September 30, 2021.

Here’sa a full description of the four pairs:

El Nido/Old English Polarized – a deep ombre brown hue with dark brown polarized lenses similar to the misty night scene set at Havana’s El Nido Bar

Port Antonio/Safari Polarized – a champagne sand colored frame with dark green polarized lenses mimicking the white sandy beaches surrounded by the plush green jungle of Port Antonio, Jamaica

Hakadal/Noir – a translucent blue frame with dark lenses reminiscent of the cold icy landscape in Hakadal, Norway

Matera/Green Smoke – a greyish stone tortoise frame with green lenses that mirror the colors of the hillside village of Matera, Italy
