The move extends the initial ban, made on February 7, until further notice, with citizens allowed in provided they follow a strict quarantine regimen to combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Non-citizens are not allowed into Kuwait for the forseeable future.

On Saturday, Kuwait’s Civil Aviation Authority announced it was going to extend its entry ban for non-Kuwaiti nationals indefinitely. The move was made as part of COVID-19 restriction measures.

“Based on the instructions of health authorities, it has been decided to extend the ban on non-Kuwaiti passengers’ entry until further notice. Kuwaiti passengers can continue to enter, given that they quarantine in one of the approved local hotels for a period of seven days and self-isolate at home for another seven days,” said the agency,

Citizens are allowed to enter Kuwait, but must spend a week in quarantine in a hotel, followed by a second week at home.

The move was originally made on February 7 for two weeks, though was initially expected to end. The band will now stay in place for the time being as COVID-19 cases continue.
