The PlayStation 5 is once again out of stock

Many people still can’t get their hands on the next-generation console of the moment: the Sony PlayStation 5.

After selling-out almost immediately when it launched in November, Sony confirmed it had a limited batch of restock units available as of January 14. The new units were available to current PlayStation members, and you could only purchase one using Sony Reward points (and users were limited to one console per person).

It’s thought that Sony put these measures in place to curb the number of people who could pick up the console, and to ensure its most valued members get access to the PS5.

However, that didn’t stop swathes of fans from snapping up every unit in just seven hours. That means that Sony’s next-generation console is once again out of stock.

Let’s hope it gets a few million more consoles ready over the next few weeks.
