The UAE will get a five-day weekend early next month, as three public holidays combine with a weekend.
UAE residents will get to enjoy Commemoration Day and UAE National Day, along with the weekend – netting residents a cool five days off.
Commemoration Day (which used to be called Martyrs Day) honors the men and women who sacrificed their lives to defend the UAE.

The UAE will celebrate its 49th National Day on December 2-3, 2020. The Spirit of the Union National Day celebrates the day all seven Emirates unified into one nation. You can expect firework displays, elaborate parades and events.
According to the UAE government’s website, residents will get a holiday on Tuesday December 1 to mark Commemoration day, followed by a National Day on December 2nd.
