Provides up-to-date information on confirmed cases, deaths and recoveries

The Supreme Council of for National Security has put together a website that lets you track the coronavirus outbreak here in the UAE.

The new tool – that is updated daily – provides users with real-time data on the number of confirmed cases, critical cases, deaths and the number of people who have recovered.

The website also provides more information on the coronavirus, as well as a self-assessment page for those worried they may have contracted the virus.

The tool is a great addition to the UAE’s efforts to battle the virus, as a means against misinformation and rumour speculating (of which carries a hefty penalty for those caught).

The UAE is currently taking measures to sanitize many areas in the country, as well as all public places and transportation. UAE residents have been told to stay home unless absolutely necessary between Thursday evening and Sunday.

During that time, UAE residents have been told to restrict all movements and not leave homes under any circumstances, unless it is to make essential purchases of food or medicine.

Authorities have said that those who try and get around the restrictions will face legal repercussions, including large fines and even jail time.

So stay safe, and stay home.
