The Weeknd released his first new single in a long time, Heartless, a few days ago.
Heartless seemingly sheds some light on where The Weeknd was after his breakups with both Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid and suggest that he went back to his playboy ways post his releationships.
Here’s the lyrics to the chorus:

Other lyrics in the song reference his on-and-off relationship with supermodel Bella Hadid where he says “I lost my heart and my mind / I try to always do right / I thought I lost you this time / You just came back in my life.”
According to E! News, “distance” played a factor in the Grammy-winning singer and his supermodel girlfriend calling it quits.
This is the second time Hadid and the Weeknd have allegedly split. The two first started dating in 2015. In 2018, E! confirmed Hadid and the Weeknd had given their relationship another shot.
He’s also registered a song called “Like Selena” but we’ll just have to wait and see if that is the title of another single.
