Kevin Smith – aka Silent Bob – and Netflix are teaming for a new He-Man animated series.

While there is still no official launch date, Smith recently gave an update on Twitter that he is very close to debut his version of the series.

“When will you see it? Probably not for a while,” Smith said in a fan Q&A video. “Don’t count on at least for six months but I’ve seen stuff and it’s amazing.”

Smith also admitted that his friend, and frequent collaborator Jason Mewes – aka Jay – will most likely be part of Masters of the Universe.

“He ain’t gonna be Orco, I’ll tell you that right now,” Smith said. “But I can get him in there somewhere. He seems like a Stinkor to me.”

Smith admitted he would be the showrunner of the new series back in August, and will also executive produce the new animated series dubbed Masters of the Universe: Revaltion.

The new show will focus on unresolved storylines from the classic 1980s cartoon series.

The original show featured Prince Adam use used a magical power sword to transform him into the warrior He-Man.
