Fleabag season 3 will arrive… in 16-years
The Emmy-nominated actress and creator of Fleabag, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, has said there would be no third season for another 16-years (at least).
The British actress said that she wouldn’t even consider it until she was 50.
Fleabag garnered critical acclaim in the UK and globally after it was picked up on Amazon Prime. Its second season received 11 Emmy nominations, including writing and acting awards for Waller-Bridge.
Waller-Bridge was asked in Los Angeles if she’d continue with the series and admitted she thought Fleabag had come to “a natural end”.
However, when pushed, she said, "I think it's time to go to the next chapter, and I'm so grateful for the character.”
"I have a fantasy of bringing Fleabag back when I'm 50," she added.
Waller-Bridge received another Emmy nomination last month, for her part in writing BBC spy thriller Killing Eve. She has also been tapped to liven up the script for James Bond 25 after Daniel Craig wanted to inject a touch of humour into the film.
