What makes Bremont tick with Giles English
Bremont is famed for its aviation watches.
It is then no surprise that the British company’s founders, Nick and Giles English, are both pilots. They named their company after a French farmer, Antoine Bremont, who helped the brothers when they had to make an emergency landing in their Thirties biplane.
The proudly British brand is a refreshing voice in an industry where high-end mechanical watchmaking is dominated by Swiss brands.
Since the first collection in 2007, the company has consolidated its adventurous spirit via partnerships with Jaguar, Boeing and recently blockbuster films in the Kingsman series and Venom, starring Tom Hardy.
Earlier today, the team launched its newest timepiece, the Bremont Supersonic, at the Esquire Townhouse. And who would be better to talk about it than Mr Giles English himself:
At the Esquire Townhouse, the Middle East’s leading men’s brand comes to life over three days of activations, talks, masterclasses, fitness sessions and private dinners, all held within in a jaw-dropping, AED60 million private mansion. Throughout the days invited guests can walk into the world of Esquire, with real-life access to the leading voices in style, sport, tech, travel, food and film.
