We always knew Ranveer Singh could dance, but did you know he could dance the traditional Emirati Al Ayyala?
As part of a new tourism campaign with Abu Dhabi, which will make the Indian mega-star the face of the emirate for the next two years, a new short film was introduced, in which Singh tours some of the UAE capital’s best spots, and even dances the Al Ayyala at the Louvre.
We’re serious, watch below:
“In the film, audiences will witness Ranveer explore some of Abu Dhabi’s hotspots, from soaking up the sun in the chilled pools of Saadiyat Beach Club to taking in the wonder at Louvre Abu Dhabi and racing around the famous Yas Marina Circuit, before enjoying retail therapy at one of the city’s incredible malls,” says the official description.

Singh has a lot more planned for Abu Dhabi in the coming years. Read more about that here.
Singh has definitely seen a sytle evolution since the last time he sat down with Esquire Middle East, saying at the time:
“My style is dictated by the kind of mood I’m in,” he says defiantly, perhaps noticing my initial hesitation at some of his choices. “Sometimes I’m feeling a bit dreary, so to lift my spirits I’ll wear something that’s colourful and loud. And sometimes I feel much more comfortable in a simple black and blue outfit.”
