After already dropping collabs with Avirex, Baracuta, and Champion for its Fall 2023 line, Palace is back to tease us with a Mellow Clog partnership with Crocs that will space you out. Expect to see them hit hard soon at a Lil Uzi Vert gig near you.

The Colorado-born clog gang has got to be the hardest working brand on the block right now, firing out a host of credible collabs that have long since taken it from ugly ugly to ugly beautiful, coinciding with the entire industry moving away from its traditional beauty aesthetic.

This is the fourth time that the brands have worked together, with the previous three all focussed on the Classic Clog. In fact, this is only the second time ever that Crocs has offered up its Mellow Clog for fresh influence, the other being a recent drop with the Parisian brand Satisfy Running.

Just the two colourways on this one, but both the “Brown and Bone” and “Celery” clog come with a trippy, swirling Palace branding and design, as well as the usual fully moulded upper and LiteRide tech smarts.

While Crocs launched in 2002 and was beloved of children, hospital and kitchen staff from the jump, it’s only in the last seven years or so that it has endeared itself to the fashion industry, thanks to hooking up with the likes of Balenciaga, Takashi Murakami, Post Malone, Salehe Bembury and loads more (including F&B flexes alongside the likes of KFC and Taco Bell).

However, it arguably all started with British designer Christoper Kane, who debuted a Crocs collab at his London Fashion Week SS17 show, saying at the time:

“Crocs are arguably the most comfortable shoe. I love that they are slightly awkward and might be perceived by some as ugly. They have a very naive and childlike shape, which I especially like when they look extra clunky on the foot.”
