Rarely, do you hear people talking about the fun they had on a Tuesday night – but, admittedly, most people don’t get mid-week invitations from Esquire to exclusive events, and this latest one was a doozy.

Last night, the great and the good of Dubai came together to celebrate the launch of the new Dubai-born (Italian-made) fashion label, Fifty Made.

Set on the picturesque terrace of one of the city’s swankiest new restaurants, Eugene Eugene (a joint so nice they named it twice), Esquire’s editor-in-chief, Matthew Priest, welcomed the handpicked crowd before introducing Fifty Made‘s sartorial architect, Nicoletta Ginetti.

What separates Fifty Made (offspring to world-renowned, The Giving Movement) from the umpteenth number of brands sprouting every day is not only it’s exceptional quality and intricate designs, but the fact that each piece is, as the name suggests, only one of fifty.

This results in an exclusive release with each collection, vehemently rejecting fast fashion and mass production. And the fact that a portion of proceeds go toward humanitarian aid in Gaza only amplify its virtue.

Ginetti’s impressive fashion background began back in her native Italy as the ex-head of womenswear for Philipp Plein. Her debut Fifty Made collection – a plethora of surrealistic, interplanetary silhouettes – is designed in Dubai and handcrafted in Italy, conflating Ginetti’s two worlds into one dynamic assortment of threads guaranteed to disrupt.

All profits from the auction will be contributed to Dubai Cares* in support of the Tarahum for Gaza initiative of compassion.

Five pieces (each piece was #1 of the item) from the new Fifty Made collection were selected by Esquire and then were on display at the event – with the attendees bidding via QR codes.

The auction ends at the end of the week, so if you’re lucky (and act quickly) you might be able to still make a bid here, and is still available for another few hours (so act quickly). Winners of the auction will be contacted by the Fifty Made team who will provide further details, before sending out each individual piece labelled 1 of 50.

Thanks to everyone who joined, thanks to Fifty Made for giving us the pleasure of unveiling your debut collection, and for those who know, we’ll see you next month.
