The 13th edition of the annual Dubai Globe Soccer Awards returns this year as part of the 17th edition of the Dubai International Sports Conference.
Hosted by the Dubai Sports Council, The one-day event will be taking place on Thursday November 17 at the Madinat Jumeirah, three days ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and will celebrate the players, icons and decision makers who contribute to the success of international soccer.
International football stars and celebrities will be present at The Dubai Globe Soccer Awards which is set to be broadcast around the world via satellite and live streaming.

“Since the launch of the Dubai International Sports Conference in 2006 and the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards in 2010, the event has become a global platform to highlight the vision and future of football both in the UAE and globally.” said His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council.
“It sheds light on professional experiences and how to create a successful approach at all levels of the sport; from playing, training and team building to establishing renowned academies following the latest professional models. In addition, we welcome the participation of distinguished speakers, who provide analytical insights on the most important challenges and how to face them and achieve successful results. This year’s event will be full of new elements, which will be an important addition to our joint efforts in developing the sport of football.”

Following former editions of the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards 2022, the ceremony will have awards for this year’s Best Player and Best Club for both male and female players, the title sponsor’s TikTok Fans’ Player of the Year and the Maradona Award for Best Goal Scorer, along with Best Coach, Best Agent, Best Transfer Deal, Best Sporting Director and Best President.

Since the inaugural awards ceremony in 2010, new categories have been introduced which reflect the development of the sport and its international appeal. New this year is the CNN Off The Pitch Award which will acknowledge the achievements of an individual, club or other soccer organisation for their impact on wider society, culture, their charitable work or as a role model for others. The Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year Award will recognize youth players who stood out in the last season with their incredible performances.
In a new launch for 2022, the Globe Soccer Digital Awards, will honour the finest digital media influencers and creators in the football space. Globe Soccer’s digital partner, 433 will be presenting the awards.

How to vote
Voting will begin on October 20 when the nominees for each category are announced. Fans can vote in some of the categories through public voting while taking part in live video talk shows with hosts, influencers, legends through the fan engagement platform mySPORT by Emerce.

Fans will be able to choose the winners of each award category alongside an international jury of soccer legends, sports coaches, directors and club presidents such as Iker Casillas, Fabio Capello and Ian Rush.
