What happens when two successful radio hosts become bartenders for the night?

Last week saw the final event of the Chivas The Good Bartender series – a collection of events that explore those who win the right way (and for whom success really is a blend).

Evidently, the best was saved for last. While previously the series talked to entrepreneurs who blended individual skills to become successful, the final event saw two men whose blend of talents have made them a successful radio double-act.

The natural chemistry between presenters Chris McHardy and Robbie Greenfield lies at the core of their top-rated radio show and, as they told Esquire Editor Matthew Baxter-Priest on the night, has proved to be a key ingredient in their specific blend of success.

The event was held at The Loft, at the Dubai Opera House and was attended by more than 250 of Dubai’s best-dressed men and women. Before enjoying the main event, guests sipped a variety of Chivas cocktails while exploring the brands activations.

“Chivas The Good Bartenders allows us at Esquire to celebrate the talents of those who really are examples of the phrase, success is a blend,” said Editor Baxter-Priest welcoming guests to the beginning of the panel discussion.

“You might not think that two affable men chatting inanely about news, entertainment and sport to be deemed anything more than idle chit-chat, but then you tune in to Dubai Eye 103.8 and listen to Off-Script with my two guests, you really get it”.

During the discussion, McHardy and Greenfield talked about some of the biggest celebrities and sports icons they interviewed over the years, ultimately agreeing that without their complementary skills on the air, the show would not be what it is today.
