One to remember

The St. Regis Hotel Abu Dhabi was the place to be on December 7 as the Esquire Middle East partnered with tailors Michael Andrews Bespoke and Vacheron Constantin to host its latest Gentlemen’s Evening on the shores of the capital’s corniche.

With the classy New York tailors showcasing its skills via a pop-up, it could not have been more fitting for the event to take place in the St. Regis Bar – a social hub that harks back to Manhattan’s Gilded Age. With a cigar room perfect for aficionados and the main space of the evening being the book-lined library, gentlemen in immaculate suits with striking timepieces filled the room.

Guests were able to get up close and personal with the suits and watches and speak with the brand representatives. The action then moved to the intimate bar space for a Q&A session hosted by Esquire fashion editor Daniel Higgins, with Michael Andrews (of the eponymous Michael Andrews Bespoke) and local Vacheron Constantin represenative, Adi Al Fardan. The gentlemen discussed his brand’s vision, heritage and the industry today. The conclusion, unsurprisingly, was that timeless style still matters.
