Beards, golf, competitions and a party, all in one day….

Now we know it’s fun to grow that silly beard every November, however this sounds even better. Organised by Lifestyle events, Movember golf day looks to raise awareness and funds for the research and development of Prostate cancer for men. A day full of fun and it’s for a good cause, we recommend it but we don’t recommend bringing your wives.

For those of you that somehow don’t know what Movember is, it is a combination of the words Mo (an English/Australian diminutive word for Moustache) and November, in other words, Movember means no-shave November. Generally speaking, men do not shave for the month and as it comes to a close, people tend to shape their beards into the most ridiculous shape possible.

The Movember golf day at Arabian Ranches will be one of the first events of its kind and will create support for men’s health as a whole and more specifically prostate cancer, which is the deadliest cancer among men of all races and origins. Having ‘on hole’ competitions such as longest drive and nearest to the pin makes this one a must if you are a keen golfer. The golf club has also been given the go ahead to ride bicycles and even dune buggies on the course, so if you’re not a mad keen golfer, you’ll still be able to have fun.

Having formerly defined your status in previous centuries, your moustache is definitely something you should be proud of and happy to show boat. That’s why after the golf the day will continue with dinner, drinks and of course, a raffle, what would any event be without a raffle. Wanting to become an occasion that is locked into each man’s calendar annually, Movember golf day certainly seems convincing. Fun for a good cause, why would you miss it?

Movember golf day will take place on November 17, 2016, at Arabian Ranches Golf Club – More information can be found here
