If there’s one thing Dubai knows how to do, it’s turn an idea into action. This month, that idea happens to be delicious. Taste of Giving is back – running from October 16 to November 16 – and it’s once again proving that doing good doesn’t have to feel like a grand gesture. Sometimes, it’s as easy as ordering lunch.
Organised by Dubai Cares, the initiative brings together restaurants, cafés, and food brands across the UAE to support school-feeding programmes for children in vulnerable communities around the world. For every dirham raised, one nutritious meal is provided to a child – a small but powerful act that helps them stay focused, healthy, and in school.

This year’s line-up features some of the city’s most recognisable names: Al Beiruti, Tashas, The Maine, Burro Blanco, Risen Café & Artisanal Bakery, Americana Foods, and many more. Each partner has pledged to give a portion of their proceeds – whether from a signature dish, a coffee, or a full day’s sales – directly to Dubai Cares.

“A school meal is more than just nourishment, it’s the promise of focus, dignity, and a chance to thrive,” says Amal Al Redha, Director of Partnerships at Dubai Cares. It’s a sentiment that’s resonated across the F&B scene. “we believe in giving back to the communities that welcome us,” adds Natasha Sideris, Founder and CEO of Tashas Group. “This collaboration allows our guests to share in that purpose.”
Last year’s campaign saw nearly 50 partners take part, and 2025 is shaping up to be even bigger. The impact goes beyond numbers and rather, about connection. For diners, it’s a reminder that even small choices can create ripple effects. For restaurants, it’s a chance to turn hospitality into humanity.
So whether you’re grabbing a coffee, sitting down for sushi, or ordering a late-night delivery, check if your favourite spot is part of the Taste of Giving campaign. Because this season, eating well comes with an even better reason.
