Audemars Piguet will feature in Paris Fashion Week for the first time.
The Swiss watchmaker said it is partnering with the British high-end luxury house Ralph & Russo for its biannual fashion extravaganza in the French capital.
Models will be adorned with R&R’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection, while wearing Audemar Piguet’s most current Royal Oak Self-Winding and Royal Oak Concept designs.
The Royal Oak’s in question are from the watchmaker’s newest collection. Each rocks a 34mm case, sized for a woman’s wrist. But in spite of their smaller sized stature, each watch still includes all the high-end horological components that the renowned watch is known for.
The 34 mm Royal Oak Self-Winding that will appear in the show is offered in four various designs. There’s a classy two-tone design, which includes a steel case and bracelet, an 18-carat pink gold bezel model, along with bracelet links and a silver-toned “Grande Tapisserie” dial.
Also set to make its runway debut is the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon, the very first women’ wrist watch in the Audemar Piguet’s Concept collection.
Offered in either 18-carat pink or white gold, the watch includes a case with a frosted gold gold surface, an eight-sided, diamond-set bezel and a multi-layered dial without hour marks to provide it a more modern feel. The stylish wristwatch is powered by the watchmaker’s hand-wound Manufacture calibre 2964.
If the collaboration appears a little out there, both brand names felt that their particular collections “mirror one another in savoir-faire and improvement.”
Paris Fashion Week will go from September 28 to October 6.
