From what to know and wear, to new drops and the ultimate spots to dine – Esquire Weekly is your go-to reference.
The Celebrity Crush
Austin Butler stepped out at the Caught Stealing New York premiere in a sleek Givenchy by Sarah Burton Spring/Summer 2026 look.

The actor wore a black single-breasted leather jacket with peak lapels, paired with matching trousers – effortlessly merging classic tailoring with edgy, modern flair.
The Supercar
The McLaren Artura is now significantly upgraded, with a new convertible Spider model joining the range and a new version of the coupe. Further amplifying the Artura’s next-generation supercar status, the new coupe and Spider deliver the highest levels of dynamic performance –including outstanding circuit ability – as well as meeting the requirements of regular driving and offering the near-silent electric-drive that is beneficial in urban environments.

The result? 700 horsepower and instant torque for a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 3 seconds. But what makes it truly unique is its ability to switch into pure EV mode for up to 33 km of silent, zero-emission city driving.
The new Spider edition adds another level of exhilaration. Its retractable hardtop opens in only 11 seconds, letting drivers experience the open air without compromising on speed or agility.

For those who love design, McLaren’s trademark super-lightweight engineering is still at the core, ensuring the Artura is as sleek as it is fast. Whether on a racetrack or in daily driving, it brings both excitement and innovation. It’s one of Esquire Weekly favourite cars.
The Watch
When art meets watchmaking, the result is bold, colourful, and deeply meaningful. That’s exactly what happened in the collaboration between MB&F M.A.D.Editions and British-Nigerian artist Yinka Ilori, who is known for using colour as a symbol of optimism and storytelling.

The new M.A.D.1S “Grow Your Dreams” collection features three limited-edition watches: Sun, Nature, and Water – each produced in just 400 pieces. Every timepiece is built on the Swiss LaJoux-Perret calibre but reimagined with Ilori’s dream-inspired philosophy. The titanium rotor has been reshaped and coloured through anodization, glowing in yellow, green, or blue, while Super-LumiNova illuminates his motto, “Grow Your Dreams.”

Beyond the mechanics, the straps tell their own story. Each model bursts with mismatched colours and playful patterns, while an extra white strap offers versatility. The use of HyCeram liquid ceramic for the bezel introduces another first for M.A.D.Editions, adding both durability and vibrancy.
The Collection
This season, Bloomingdale’s Middle East takes inspiration from the urban playground, where fashion and sport collide. The Fall/Winter 2025 collection is about movement, individuality, and the rhythm of city life.

For menswear, chocolate brown emerges as the star colour, with standout pieces like Brioni’s jacket-and-pants set and Les Deux’s plush vest. Smart tailoring blends effortlessly with relaxed, athletic silhouettes, making it easy to go from the office to after-hours. Lemaire redefines boho-chic with loose tailoring and breathable tanks, while pleated pants and slouchy outerwear bring comfort and softness.

The Brunch
If your Saturdays call for sunshine, laughter, and indulgence, the new Lazy Saturday Brunch at Jou Jou Brasserie is exactly where you should be. Nestled in the Four Seasons Resort at Jumeirah Beach, this French-Mediterranean restaurant now serves a leisurely three-course menu designed for sharing and for celebrating ‘l’art de ne rien faire’, the art of doing nothing.

Starters come in unlimited portions, from Sea Bass with citrus mostarda to the signature Gambas, made with Omani white prawns sautéed in homemade lobster butter. The menu celebrates Mediterranean freshness with every bite: artichoke salads, Hamachi with basil, and splashes of spicy vinaigrette.

For mains, choose between Beef Ravioli with creamy olive jus, rustic Fregola Alla Norma with fried eggplant and ricotta, or a Provençale-style Sea Bream with potatoes, olives, and mussel jus. Dessert is a classic: Chef Nicolas Lambert’s decadent Tiramisu, refined with the precision of a world-class pastry artist.
This brunch is less about rushing and more about savouring time with friends. Available every Saturday from 1 PM – 4 PM, it’s the perfect escape before summer fades. Esquire Weekly recommends.
The Movie
Arab cinema is stepping into the spotlight with Darwish, a new action-drama directed by Walid Elhalafawy and co-produced by VOX Studios, One to One Productions, Film Clinic, and Film Square. Starring Esquire Middle East’s June cover star Amr Youssef and Dina El Sherbiny, the film blends high-stakes heists, espionage, and romance into a gripping story of survival and transformation.

The plot follows Darwish, a skilled con artist whose life takes a turn when he is wrongly accused of murder. Suddenly, he becomes an accidental hero for revolutionaries, caught in a dangerous game where every choice could cost him his freedom or his life. Alongside his cunning partner Zobaida, Darwish must also navigate his growing connection with Kariman (played by Tara Emad), a fierce resistance fighter who believes there’s more good in him than he admits.
Esquire Weekly recommends. Catch it in VOX Cinemas across the Middle East starting today August 29.
