The men’s artistic director of Louis Vuitton and founder of Off-White, Virgil Abloh has returned to work at the Paris headquarters of the brand. The in-demand designer revealed earlier this year that he was taking some time off to focus on his health.
The designer posted a selfie on his personal Instagram account and his location tag confirmed that he was indeed back at work.
In September 2019, a spokesperson for Abloh said in a statement: “Virgil Abloh shared today that he is shifting gears to a pace less than his usual constant work and travel for a few months due to health considerations.”
“Virgil is designing the Off-White show in Paris to replace his attendance, with a creative new approach that will include crowd participation. He continues to work closely with his teams at Louis Vuitton Men’s and Off-White as well as with brands he collaborates with around the world.”
He had to give his Off-White show at Paris Fashion Week a miss. He is yet to reveal what medical reasons called for his hiatus from work.
His fall 2020 show is scheduled to be presented during men’s fashion week in Paris, between January 14 to 19.
