The Stark brothers are back together on the big screen

Marvel’s The Eternals is set for a big Game of Thrones reunion as Kit Harington is the latest cast member to be announced alongside Richard Madden in the new movie.

Harington will star as Dane Whitman, who’s alter ego is the Black Knight. The Eternals also stars Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh and Don Lee.

The Eternals will follow on a group of aliens known as Eternals who will use their advanced skills to protect humans in the future.

“It’s about this group of incredible immortals but through their journey we really get to explore what it means to be human and humanity on our time on this planet,” director Chloe Zhao said at Comic Con.

Madden added: “The Eternals are a race of immortal aliens sent to Earth by the Celestials to protect humankind from the Deviants.”

This is the latest new announcement made at Disney’s fan convention D23.

Harington’s last role that propelled him to world wide fame was his potrayal as the famous Jon Snow in Game of Thrones.

The actor admitted to feeling “quite defiant” over the fan backlash over the final six episodes, including calls to re-write and re-shoot the last season.

“Whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their judgment on it, in my head they can go f**k themselves,” he said.

“Because I know how much work was put into this.”
