Amazon’s day of epic deals will arrive July 15 and 16

Just weeks after Amazon introduced its Prime services in the UAE, it has said that Amazon Prime Day – the retailer’s two-day parade of epic deals – is coming to the UAE.

Prime Day will kick off at midnight on July 15 and, rather weirdly, last for 48-hours (they should rename it, ‘Prime Days’ we guess).

The day of deals is essentially Amazon’s version of Black Friday, where it offers Prime members the best in shopping and entertainment for rock-bottom prices. Previously, it has offered up to  70 per cent off Alexa smart speakers, as well as other Amazon-owned goods.

Other online retailers who use the service can also get in on the deals, and there’s a ‘deal of the day’ that takes place on each of Amazon’s many online shopping categories.

Speaking of the launch, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer said it was about time Prime Day arrived in the UAE, ““Our vision is that Prime Day should be the absolute best time to be a member – when you can enjoy shopping, savings, entertainment and some of the best deals Prime members have ever seen.”

“Stay tuned as we reveal exclusive savings, as well as world-class entertainment and more, leading up to Prime Day on July 15 and 16.”

Amazon only unveiled its Prime services in the UAE two weeks ago, on June 11. The service offers members access to the retailer’s exclusive collection of film and television shows, as well as access to same-day delivery of items.

There’s still no word on what Amazon Prime Day’s best deals will be. But check back here on July 14 for a whole round-up.
