City Walk is one of the most rapidly growing areas on Dubai’s dining scene, and one of its most exciting arrivals is from the Michelin-starred brothers, Chris and Jeff Galvin.
Galvin first opened its doors last September and is the 12th restaurant from this culinary dynamic duo. It aims to provide dishes that hail from the best of Britain but served with Mediterranean flair.
What that really means, is that the food takes influence from Italy, the South of France as well as Northern Africa, and each dish is an innovative take on classic Mediterranean flavours.
The kitchen is headed up by executive chef Luigi Vespero who – we might add – certainly does the Galvin brothers proud. Food is downright delicious and served with a flair that even the most dedicated foodie will appreciate.
The restaurant itself is spread out over two floors. The ground level has a lavish interior that opens up in the cooler months letting guests sit outside. Upstairs, there is a more relaxed lounge with a central bar and a menu that focuses on smaller bites.
Unlike many other restaurants that have opened recently that focus on more casual dining and sharing platters, Galvin Dubai is a fine dining restaurant at its core. From the stellar service to the delectable food, it has quickly established itself on the Dubai dining scene.
And that’s why it’s one of the best restaurants in the GCC.
