Hazza Al Mansouri – the world’s first Arab astronaut – may be officially back on Earth, but that didn’t stop him from recording a tour of the International Space Station before he left.
Al Mansouri returned from eight days aboard the International Space Station, and has now been telling the UAE about his trip. Fortunately, he also recorded a video showing viewers around his space home which is now live on YouTube.
When Al Mansouri wasn’t conducting experiments, hosting Q&As and livestreams, or praying in microgravity, he was teaching other astronauts the heritage and culture of the Emiratis. As part of a cultural exchange endeavour, Al Mansouri slipped out of his usual clothing and into something a bit more traditional, a kandura.
You can watch his full tour of the ISS in the video above.
