Despite the name, it is not some kind of Marvel Cinematic Universe collaboration

It’s been two years since Georges Kern took the reins of Breitling, and in that time he has swiftly catapulted the watch brand into the modern world with approachable collections and trendy marketing campaigns.

But while Kern’s vision has helped make the brand younger and hipper, he has taken care not to stray too far from its heritage—aviation. The best example of this is the recently revamped Avenger line.

Despite the name, the Avenger line is not some kind of Marvel Cinematic Universe collaboration, its Breitling’s minimalist selection of aviation pieces.

Sitting as the little brother to the Aviator 8 and Navitimer collections, the Avenger isn’t quite as reminiscent of military aesthetic as its counterparts, instead it focuses on high legibility and fun style.

A bit shinier than the other aviation offerings, they stand as the brand’s least expensive, and least polarising collection, offering a familiar aviation watch without all the crazy die-hard add-ons.

The new editions reduce the collection down to just 14 options with GMT, chronograph and time-only options.
