Inspired by the spirit of travel, Vacheron Constantin’s Overseas collection really has had a glow-up since it was re-introduced back to the wild back in 2016. In fact, if we are to extend that metaphor, not only has the Overseas ‘species’ been a hit with wildlife spotters, but such is its boom in popularity that these days it rare to see one available in the wild.
Over the past few years, the fabled Swiss watchmaker has heeded the calls of adoration with additions to the Overseas collection, including further complications and the use of more precious materials. Both of these are seen this year with the arrival of a new version of the Overseas Chronograph in rose gold.

As the new Overseas pieces do have a chronograph, technically they still qualify as a ‘sports watch’, albeit one that is made out of 18k 5N pink gold and are powered by the work-of-art that is the self-winding caliber 5200 manufacture movement. Although our advice is to avoid playing any type of sport while wearing this version, considering that both the bezel and the crown are also made of the same 18k pink gold.
Paying homage to the wildly popular steel models, the iconic blue lacquered remains on the new pieces, with the dial finishing also given a sunburst satin-finished and the hours and minutes hands highlighted with blue Super-LumiNova.

In keeping with the trend for interchangeable straps, the Overseas Chronograph models in gold also comes with three different strap options – a pink gold bracelet, a waterproof rubber strap, and a classic leather strap – which can be changed in a flash.
Model exclusively available from Vacheron Constantin boutiques.
