At the end of 2023, the online watch world was a-buzz when a white dial Speedmaster peeked its face out from under the cuff of Daniel Craig at a Planet Omega event in New York.
It wasn’t a timepiece that ever-keen watch fans had seen, and so rumours when into overdrive. After much screen pinching and diving into the archives, the mystery of the unreleased watch strapped to the wrist of renowned Omega superfan Craig is finally out.

Omega has now officially announced (and released) a white dial Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional in steel. Enticingly, the new release comes with a glossy lacquer white dial – a first for a regular Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional in steel.
The timepiece boasts the classic asymmetrical case in 42mm wide, 13.2mm thick, and 47.5mm lug-to-lug. The watch has a sapphire crystal case both front and back and has a “Dot Over 90” black aluminum bezel. Inside is Omega’s Master Chronometer-certified caliber 3861 chronograph movement.

While the original Omega Speedmaster colors (black dial with white hands) were chosen for peak legibility, this combination does the same, equally as well. The watch features black hands and markers and a blackened logo, while both “Speedmaster” and the tip of the chronograph hand are in red, giving a pop of colour to the dial.
