One of the most iconic watches ever made—and the first watch on the moon—has been completely reinvented in collaboration you never saw coming. Say hello to the Omega x Swatch Bioceramic Speedmaster Moonwatch—or MoonSwatch, we should say.

The design partnership, which is a first between Omega and Swatch, is one of the most head-turning collaborations we’ve seen in a long time, in a market full of them, adding a sense of playful fun to an iconic design, not to mention making the Speedmaster more accessible than it’s ever been before at AED 950 in the region ($260).
The project draws inspiration from space (of course) with 11 Swatches in the line that are each named after the planetary bodies—each with a ‘Mission to ____’ name to match their celestial journey.
What’s the MoonSwatch made of?
And wait, Bioceramic? Yep—it’s a unique mix of two-thirds ceramic and one-third a castor oil-derived material. Most of the watches follow in strong colors—pink and pale blue, but overall, tehse are Speedmasters through and through, albeit battery-powered.
Each MoonSwatch features its own mission statement, inspirational engravings and joint OMEGA X SWATCH logos on the dial and crown. The battery cover on each watch features a depiction of its planet.
The key Moonwatch design features are all there. The asymmetrical case, the famous tachymeter scale with dot over ninety and the distinctive Speedmaster subdials, which all work perfectly, according to Omega.
For Omega President and CEO Mr. Raynald Aeschlimann, the new collection is a source of pride.
