“Exploration isn’t about the destination; it is a mindset,” said Aldo Kane on the release of Bremont’s new Terra Nova Bronze. It’s something that we are pretty confident that the former Royal Marines Commando can speak on with significant authority.

The record-breaking British adventurer has been the face of Bremont’s rugged Terra Nova collection since the tool watch was given a dramatic overhaul last year – and recently got to test out the latest addition to the collection while riding motorbikes across the UAE desert.

That new addition is the Terra Nova Bronze, a trio of references that offering an elevated level of style and durability to the tool watch. As the name would suggest, the new Terra Nova Date, Chronograph and Power Reserve models all get their stainless steel cases and bracelets swapped out for bronze ones.

The new watches boast cases and bracelets made from cupro-aluminum bronze (copper-aluminum), which has some distinct advantages over the more commonly utilized phosphor/tin bronze.

More rugged than traditional bronze, cupro-aluminum bronze boasts higher tensile strength and greater scratch resistance, and, quite frankly, its yellow-gold appearance makes it look that much cooler.

Continuing to take its references from early 20th-century military pocket watches, the Terra Nova collection captures the essence of practicality and simplicity, reimagined for the modern age. Now with it embracing a high-strength bronze alloy, it adds that additional ruggedness with an undeniable cool-elegance.
