As the eyes of the world turn to the Middle East for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, Breitling has released a special edition of the Navitimer Automatic 41, exclusively for the region.

The special edition 41mm Navitimer comes in stainless steel and features a clean three-hand function on a striking red dial and a brown alligator strap. The timepiece also features a caseback engraving reading ‘Middle East Edition’.

Since it was first introduced in 1952, the Breitling Navitimer has been one of the world’s most highly regarded pilot’s watch. Having recently been adapted in size and design to fit a more contemporary look, it still draws much of its inspiration from the iconic three-handed Navitimer Ref. 806 and the Reference 66 from the 1950s.

Now while, the revered Swiss watchmaker has made no reference the release being related to the football World Cup happening in Doha, the colour of the subdued red dial has significant resemblance to the Qatari flag.

“This watch will never go out of style,” says Aed Adwan, Managing Director, Breitling Middle East, India and Africa. “We decided to produce this much-loved model in a striking red version, for our travel enthusiasts who wish to stand out from the crowd.’’

The Special-Edition Navitimer Automatic 41 is now available in the region whereever Breitling Middle is distributed .
