When Bell&Ross first introduced the BR 05 collection it gave us a more toned-down, urban-oriented take on the circle-within-a-square design that made the French brand built its reputation on.
Gradually as the collection has expanded from a simple-yet-handsome, three-handed watch to a include chronograph, GMT, and skeletonized variations in a range of colours and materials.
Returning to the most restrained member of the family, the time-and-date model, Bell&Ross now provides a bit of warmth for the cooler winter months, with the Bell&Ross BR 05 Copper Brown.
The familiar soft-rounded square-ish is cased in stainless steel, but it is in the dial that the BR 05 Copper Brown stands out from the crowd. As the name suggests, the dial is made from copper, which against the steel gives it a classy and stylish feel – which is helped by the sunburst finishing on the dial that hints of the light at the end of a late summer’s day.
A handy touch is that the BR 05 Copper Brown also has a rubber strap option, which comes in a colour specifically developed for it that works to accentuate the light brown of the dial. Clever.
