After two sellout editions, the Casio G-Shock dressed up as an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is back

Having successfully sold out of two previous ‘CasiOak’ watches, watch modders The Dial Artist and IFL Watches have unveiled two new versions set for general release.

The watch – which is a customized Casio G-Shock designed to look like Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak – features the same rainbow aesthetic as the earlier limited editions, but this time comes in both grey and black versions.

You get a monochromatic construction, except for the dial and bezel which comes in bright rainbow colours. That colour scheme extends to the indices of the timepiece, as well as the markings on the octagonal bezel – all of which have been hand-painted.

The ‘CasiOak’ is a playful nod to AP’s trendy octagonal timepiece. According to the launch announcement, the watch is meant for hardcore watch nerds to people who want a cool looking watch.

One of the reasons the first two limited editions sold out so quickly was the price – and the general release is no different. Both the black and grey rainbow versions will set you back US$650 (AED 2,490) and they shouldn’t (hopefully) run out of stock.

For those interested, there’s also a ‘CasiOak’ done in Pepsi colours (no doubt a nod to Rolex’s famous Pepsi Submariner).
