It started with a challenge: how do you create a fabric so light it feels almost intangible, yet rich enough to stand the test of time? For Loro Piana, the answer wasn’t found easily – it never is. But with an obsessive pursuit of perfection—two years of research, the finest 13.5-micron Merino wool from Australia and New Zealand, and a weaving process so intricate that only a handful of artisans in Italy could execute it. Then, Royal Lightness, a fabric so delicate it’s nearly impossible to knit without breaking, came to be.
With an equestrian-inspired design language, the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 menswear collection moves seamlessly through Argentina, the Scottish Highlands, and the landscapes of New Zealand and Australia, nodding to the heritage of horse riding while keeping the focus on modern practicality. The tailoring is fluid, loose-cut trousers tucked into boots, double-breasted suits designed for movement, and a Spagna jacket that transforms into a short cape, reworking classic shapes into something more adaptable.

Texture takes the lead, with Cheviot, cashmere, and Cash Melton appearing in deep, earthy hues—Green Haze Melange, Fondue Fudge, and Espresso—while Cartella Inglese introduces tonal masculine patterns, layering depth without excess. Quilted hunting jackets and functional parkas ensure the out-in-the-elements practicality that defines Loro Piana’s menswear, while the Maremma jacket, crafted in cotton cashmere, also makes a return.

Eveningwear follows the same low-key yet well-thoughtout elegance, with a barathea smoking suit, quilted silk Spagna jacket, and a black cashmere jacket featuring inlay intarsia detailing. Footwear and accessories ground the collection in reality—lace-ups, loafers, and riding boots offer versatility, while a Le Chameau collaboration delivers rubber boots lined with Loro Piana’s signature craftsmanship.
While the pieces tell a story of sober style, the collection as a whole shouts what Loro Piana does best: luxury that doesn’t announce itself, but instead exists in perfect balance.
