DIOR MENS FALL 2024 ICONS LOOKBOOK AND DETAILS BY BRETT LLOYD 12 v1 13319180

Embodied by radical, discreet luxury Dior continues to redefine the contours of the men’s wardrobe via its ongoing Dior Icons capsule collection.

This redefinition from the much-fanfared Creative Director, Kim Jones, sees minimalist lines weave their way into the Maison’s ever-present pieces such as bags, long coats and elegant trousers that structure the silhouette. The broad collection puts the Dior’s exceptional ateliers on full display across a full range of menswear staples from tailoring to sportswear, knitwear and denim —each imagined in a pure, desaturated tone, making them applicable to wear during the day or night.

When it comes to materials, cashmere— sometimes combined with mink—poplin and virgin wool, make up most of the collection, with delicate details that subtly reflect the House’s history, including the Oblique motif (seen on the Weekender 40 bag and also on the inside lining of some jackets), and the use of gray—a favourite shade of Mr Dior himself.

The Dior-specific fabric is also used on a range of shoes for the collection, including the Dior Buffalo derbys, and the hugely popular maxi versions of the Weekender bags—adding an extra touch of audacity to the essential ‘iconic’ accessories that people simply cannot get enough of right now.
