Flashback to just over a year ago, and Jude Bellingham was a name known only to football fans who – let’s be honest – also knew little about him apart from that he was probably too good to be dragging his then Borussia Dortmund team to the precipice of the German football league. Sadly, for Dortmund, that season ended in final-day heartbreak with Bellingham left in tears on the pitch. But what a difference a year (and a bit) makes…
Those tears have certainly dried up since that fateful spring day, with Jude Bellingham moving club to Real Madrid where he would win the Champions League, the Spanish League and his exploits of scoring 23 goals in 42 games saw him voted the Spanish League’s player of the season. During the same time his status was elevated even further as he seized the mantel of being England’s star player at Euro 2024. His barnstorming success at that major international tournament making him a household name across Europe.
And now, his anointment as the new face of Louis Vuitton caps not only Bellingham’s meteoric rise, but established himself as football’s next major cross-over star. Much like Cristiano Ronaldo, Leo Messi and, Bellingham’s countryman, David Beckham.

It’s important to note that the 21-year-old footballer is only a “friend of the house” rather than a fully-fledged Louis Vuitton ambassador, but with shots of him modelling pieces from the Maison’s new men’s line dropping on his Instagram, this is surely just the start of Jude’s future in fashion. And at the rate his sporting career is going, who knows how soon that course to the very top will take.
